Afraid of the Dentist? How We Help at AURA DENT
March 10, 20263 min read
Fear of the dentist — clinically known as dental phobia or dental anxiety — is not a weakness or a whim. It's a real psychological response, often rooted in negative experiences from childhood or adolescence. It affects roughly 1 in 3 adults and is the main reason people put off dental visits until problems become emergencies.
What causes fear of the dentist?
The causes vary: fear of pain, the feeling of losing control (you're lying back, can't speak, don't know what comes next), the sound of the drill, the distinctive smell of the clinic, or simply a bad experience from the past. Some people avoid the dentist purely out of shame about the current state of their teeth — a fear that is just as real and just as valid.
Our approach at AURA DENT
We built our practice around a simple principle: no one should suffer or feel embarrassed in a dental clinic. This belief is reflected in every detail of the AURA DENT experience.
Modern equipment — less pain

The equipment we use significantly reduces discomfort. Modern turbines are quieter, current anesthetics work quickly and evenly, and minimally invasive techniques mean smaller procedures and faster recovery.
A team of 4 doctors — personal attention, not a factory
You're not an appointment number. With a team of 4 specialist doctors in a human-sized clinic, every patient receives the attention they deserve. Your doctor will explain each step before doing it and will answer any question — without rushing you.
Sector 3 atmosphere — calm, not antiseptic
Our clinic in Sector 3 is designed to look nothing like an operating room. Clean, bright, free of unnecessary noise, with a calm atmosphere that helps ease tension from the moment you walk in.
Step-by-step consultation

At the first consultation we do nothing without your explicit consent. We evaluate, explain, answer questions, and build a treatment plan together that you feel comfortable with. No pressure, no surprises.
Sedation options for more difficult cases
For patients with severe anxiety, we offer conscious sedation with nitrous oxide (laughing gas) — a safe method with rapid onset that reduces anxiety without putting you to sleep. If you feel you need it, talk to your doctor about this option.
The first step is the hardest
If you've been avoiding the dentist for years because of fear, we understand. You will not be judged. You will be heard. Book an evaluation consultation — with no treatment required at the first visit — and discover that the experience can be completely different from what you imagined.
